Contribuiți la feedbackThe afternoon tea and scones at this restaurant are well-known in the area. The tea room has been updated with a contemporary yet traditional look, and it is fantastic! I recently ordered a box of baked goods and had them sent to my parents during quarantine. They were thrilled and raved about how delicious the tarts and squares were! I made a mistake in my order, thinking it was for my parents, but the restaurant quickly apologized and rectified the error, showing excellent customer service. We will definitely be ordering the Mother's Day Tea in a couple of weeks.
We had a pleasant lunch at the restaurant where we ordered the afternoon tea for two priced at $64 plus tax. We chose this option as we were craving a sandwich and a scone, which were only available as part of the tiered menu. The afternoon tea included 1 1/2 full sandwiches per person, fresh fruit, scones with a small portion of jam and clotted cream (enough for one scone but not two). However, the dessert bars made with M&Ms on the tier were a disappointment as we expected all homemade products for the price. We also wished for a heartier option like another sandwich with meat. Other diners at the restaurant also noticed this and chose different menu items instead. Despite this, the service was excellent and the restaurant had a nice ambiance. Overall, I would not recommend purchasing the afternoon tea at this restaurant.
Tea and the lunch was perfect. Individual teacups and the salt and pepper shakers were unique for each table. Lovely place to buy pastries and cute gift items.
My husband and I had not been to HarrybTen Shilling for a number of years. I DECIDED I should like to go for my birthday. We remembered the soup, scones with clotted cream and tea were delicious and we were happy that everything tasted just as wonderful as when we made our last visit in 2017. We were not rushed to finish and our server was great. Really love this tea room.
This cute restaurant is well placed in the tourist spot of Shakespeare. The setting of the restaurant itself is quirky and fun. The food tasty and plated in pretty way, but nothing mind blowing and certainly allergy friendly. Both dairy and gluten allergy/intolerances are heavily prevalent these days and I was surprised that the only thing that fit that description was the tea. Now the tea, that is worth visiting again for. Delicious and unique blends are offered and I’m curious to try their well known black teas as well. The customer service was much to be desired. Barely a half hearted welcome when walking in, nor basic friendliness when taking our order or checking our table. I doubt I’ll recommend this tea room and suggest they just try buying the loose leaf selection at the front of the shop.
