The Blue Boar Inn - Stratford-on-Avon

Went for sunday lunch and was very impressed with the food and the service, would recommend.

Our reservation could not be found, and when I showed the email, we did not feel welcomed. Despite the younger staff being polite when attentive, the service overall was bad. The Risotto was more like rice pudding, but the other dishes were good. We had to leave after 2 hours without even seeing the dessert menu. It was Father's Day, and they seemed surprised by the busy crowd.

Visited with friends for lunch. Excellent choice from either standard menu or lunch time special menu. Very good presentation of food and all arrived piping hot. Service also very good and pleasant personality.

I haven't been to this restaurant in quite a few years, but I was not disappointed. I couldn't find any faults with anything. We will definitely be returning.

Great value lunch that was very enjoyable. The set menu provided enough choice for all four of us that were dining. Great value at £15.95 for three courses and the food was served piping hot and well presented. Service was also very good.
