Sat in garden which was very pretty although could do with a little maintenance, Had burger and chips and was very tasty chips were amazing. Prices are fairly high I would say for a small county pub. Would come back in future
We were staying in the area and were pleased to see that the lovely village of Lighthorne had retained its pub. We called in for a drink in the garden on one evening and returns the next for a meal. It was 2 for 1 Tuesday Pizza night. We both thought that the pizzas were as good as we have had anywhere. We have no idea whether the rest of the menu would prove to be as good, but we were delighted with our choices. Well worth a visit to this pub which has a good community feel and very pleasant service.
My family booked for Sunday lunch at short notice. There were eight of us altogether and two members of our party travelled from the west coast of Wales and were very, very, late. I cannot stress how superb the staff were, they were kindly and professional and took it all in their stride even though we must have been a mighty inconvenience. The food was DELICIOUS. Meat cooked to our specifications (family like it pink, I like it overdone), crisp, fresh vegetables, Yorkshire puddings that floated, and plentiful, rich, lovely gravy. Oh and the puddings were a delight too. Thank you, thank you, thank you Antelope, for making our special occasion one of the best meals together ever. 100% fantastic.

We had a fantastic lunchtime meal for 4. The Pork belly special and pheasant were both superb. Definitely recommended this place.
