There was a slight issue with our booking and we were eventually asked if we would mind dining "downstairs". Despite the tables not being set up, we agreed and sat down. We waited for a while before our server, Vali, hurried over to take our drinks order. We noticed he was one of only four staff members responsible for everything from seating guests to taking orders and clearing tables, which explained the long wait times. When we tried to order our food, we found out that several menu items were unavailable, including lamb shanks, steak, and pies. We ended up settling for ham, egg, and chips, as well as some fish. The food was decent, but not what we had initially wanted. While the prices at this hotel restaurant were reasonable, we were left feeling underwhelmed and unlikely to return. We would probably prefer to find a traditional pub lunch nearby.
Very disappointed with the meal we would have been better off going to Iceland’s store! The meal was both expensive and just warm. We will not recommend this place.
After strolling around Charlecote Park, we had lunch at this restaurant. The menu had a good variety of options and the staff were very friendly. I highly recommend it.
I had a pleasant lunch yesterday and was very impressed by the safety measures implemented at the restaurant. We felt very secure and look forward to coming back again soon.
A Sunday lunch visit, great staff, wonderful carvery, I chose all the different meats, delicious vegetables, a nice glass of dry white wine (large), cheesecake desert, restaurant and surroundings superb, we had a much appreciated visit.
