Au Bureau - Strasbourg

We went there on a Sunday in November shortly after 12. The restaurant was not so busy and we were taken to our table right away. The restaurant was relatively quiet. The food was average. The salad that came with the burgers was more like a garrison than a salad. Portion sizes were good. Service was friendly and relatively fast.

Armed to a friendly answer, but then said that it was suddenly closed, despite early afternoon eating with other people. a scandal as this is a chain that we usually recommend.

To travel to Austria, we have decided to have an overnight stop in straßburg; our only problems that are one of us are eating a freches and only one of us speaks (a little) French. we had what looked like a tactical area, happened on our way to our hotel and decided to return there and try our luck. Luckily, when it turned out to be an old dock that was rejuvenated and is now home to a cinema, a shopping center and a series of restaurants. After we have seen the open air, free for all, salsa dancing in 'quadrat' we saw a few menus and chose au bureau. the menu was simple, easy to follow, full of choice and cheap. there was something for everyone. once inside it will be in the head of a wetherspoons type diner, many tables, really comfortable sitting opportunities, loads of friendly staff and unfortunately a series of TV screens all show football. the service was good and the staff was friendly and helpful. the food was of good quality and quantity and the final price was appropriate. we were told that we should go to Straßburg for more than one night, and if we do, we will return to au bureau. Thank you.

Watched the rugby world cup here. The place struggles between trying to be a sports bar and a restaurant. But all in all, a good place to meet friends. Wouldn't rate it as cheap .. but more mod-range. Good selection of beers and food. Sunny...terrasse in summer.
