Kumo Japanese Of Stony Brook

I went to Kumo for over three years now. Food always tastes the best, but the service is not consistent. I went with my girlfriend many times to Hibachi tables and ordered various apps to try and together a course cause portions are big enough. But last night, when the waitress took our order, we came with a situation where we were told we had to order two dinners to sit at the tables! Another waiter came to our table to repeat what she told us. Left overs are always good to have, but if I prefer to share a dinner, I don't think it was farewell, forced to order a second meal.

Food is great.. I wish the waiters stop disturbing people to leave the table before they finish their food they always come to the table and ask if we want something else that we do not have decent conversation.

Kumo is our must for sushi in the last 2 years and we love their catering tablets. Had dinner there last night and thought it was great! The waitress reviewed things that were gluten-free for me and, as an appetizer my husband had ordered, had gluten, she made sure I was aware! They also have GF soy sauce available. Excellent sushi, great service and still my favorite for take-out!

The food was outstanding, though I did feel a bit hurried during the service. The chef put on a fantastic show and presented us with some top-notch dishes. The steak was cooked to perfection, and we were also treated to a generous portion of shrimp on the plate. All six of us had a wonderful time, and the price was quite reasonable.

We set out for Korean BBQ, but unfortunately, it was closed. So, we decided to try a nearby restaurant that was open instead. Although we've enjoyed sushi on numerous occasions, this was our first visit to this place. I can only describe it as delicious! Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. Even my picky 15-year-old son stepped out of his comfort zone and sampled a new roll as well as a bite from everyone else's plates. That alone speaks volumes about how good it was!
