Contribuiți la feedbackI?m a bit of burger connoisseur of hamburgers and this Double cheeseburger with double cheese and bacon on a sweet role did not disappoint. Lots of flavor lots of juice coming out of the meat and you could tell it was hand made not machine pressed. Thecinnamon roll was was amazing also! I love to support local family businesses and I will certainly be back once I recover fromthis big meal.
We tried these burgers yesterday and thought they were super fresh and tasty. We ordered for take out. The place itself is nostalgically designed with a Juke box and an old 1970s television that was playing Little Rascals. They bake their own bunswhich really kicks up the quality of the burgers. The fries were crinkled and ok but the onion rings were delicious andmaintained their crunchiness even through the ride home which was impressive. The fries were soggy by the time we got home butstill well cooked. They keep condiments on the side in packets and don?t place them on the burgers whether you are dining in ortaking out, which I prefer. They have both bottled drinks and soda fountain drinks available, but the fountain drinks came withthe combo. They had sweets available as well that we didn?t try this time including house made ice cream with flavors I don?tsee as often like apple& cinnamon and Peaches&cream. We?ll definitely be back next time we?re craving burgers.
Simply incredible Burger! I ordered the #3 Bacon Cheeseburger and it did not disappoint. Fantastic bun and full flavor. I highly recommend The Good News Burger!
Burgers were a good size. Toasted buns. Very good flavor. They offer a choice of fresh or sauteed onions on your burgers. Choice of fries, tater tots or onion rings. The batter on the onion rings was very tasty. Staff was very friendly and professional. Wewill be eating here again.
I just tried Good News Burgers for the first time and it was mostly a great experience. The burger was huge (Jack Burton) and the bun... I fell in love with the bun. Buttery, toasty and just a little sweetness. By far the best bun I've ever had on aburger, anywhere. The bacon and the cheese on this burger was superb. The onion rings were super delicious. Light batter thattasted a lot like a beer batter. Crunchy and not greasy and the onions were cooked perfectly. Some of the best onion ringsI've had in San Antonio. Now for the only bad part. I ordered the fried mushrooms and was super super disappointed. (I'veincluded a picture with a quarter in the pic for reference) There were only 7 small mushrooms in the order. At $7.95 tax perorder, that means every mushroom costs more than $1 each. They were overcooked and very greasy and by the time I got them home, all the breading was nothing but mush and I live less than 4 minutes from the store. Overall, the experience was great. Themushrooms are a huge NO. Super disappointed because I was really wanting fried mushrooms and that was one of the major reasonsfor my visit. Was considering going to another place for a burger but they didn't offer fried mushrooms. I will go back forthe Burgers and the O-rings but the fried mushrooms, never again. I would have given this place a 5 star rating had I notordered the mushrooms but I did, and that disappointment cost them 1 star.
