The lomo saltado smell and tasted burnt, horrible. You cannot f-up on a lomo saltado, but they did. The seco was spoil, usually my kids devoured all Peruvian food, but not this one. The maracuyá and chicha was the only thing that we finish. Never again.
Place is closed, no one answer the telephone . Totally unprofessional way to run a business. Peruvian food is one the best around the world.Businesses like this one just bring bad reputation and misrepresentation of Peruvians and theirs food.
Unfortunately I cannot leave a great review for this one. I came only because my parents wanted to eat Peruvian food while in San Antonio. Not the best choice. First my dad ordered ceviche (because he originally wanted chicken causa, but again it was not available) as the name of the restaurant is Sr. Ceviche…well that was disappointing. The chunks of fish were cut too large, the ceviche did not even have cilantro, the flavor was just ok. I ordered yuca with huancaina sauce because they don’t make papa la huancaina. The sauce was not tasty. My mom wanted to order seco from the menu…but again they did not have it. So she just asked for beans and rice. She said the beans and rice tasted good. I can say that I’m sad because this does not represent Peruvian food. I was also being nice with my review only because the waitress was nice. Also ordered the alfajores, which were ok. Hope they can better their flavors and cooking and truly represent our delicious Peruvian food.
I'm not a big seafood eater but I love some Lomo Saltado! This place is very clean and the food was extremely flavourful. I'd been here one other time before and when they made the Lomo Saltado they separated the fries from the lomo. This time when I called in I tried to explain that I wanted it all mixed together, but unfortunately the lady I was speaking to only spoke Spanish. My Spanish is rusty. When I got to the restaurant they mixed it together for me. The French fries soaking up all the wonderful juices from the lomo is the best part!Looking at other reviews online it seems they are under new management but the Lomo Saltado had the same flavor.
Hidden gem! The restaurant is under new management and the changes to the menu and presentation are outstanding. The waitress Joanna takes pride in the presentation of the dish as well and will break down exactly how they make it for you if you ask. Outstanding place. The food is unique, the ceviche is incredible and everything is made fresh.
