Chris Madrid's

I ate here on several occasions and it gets better every time. The hamburgers are huge and very cheesy if you want. The first are always fresh and the people who work there are very friendly.

Such great burgers and always have been, so when you're tired of those so called craft burgers that are more like small sliders, just go to Chris Madrids for a real sized tasty burger that will fill you up the first time.

3 for me is average. Fries were limp and oil was a bit old. Flavor bland. Burger was fine texture wise for the meat but nothing great flavor wise. Onions were large chunks that fell off with the squashed bread. Nothing special. I'll stick with Mr Juicy, Smashburgers or Five Guys instead. Small but good beer selection on tap. Atmosphere was pleasant for a burger joint. Plenty of room. Indoor and outdoor options with mister fans outside. Staff was personable. For me the food is what's most important. I tried it based on some recommendations but I'll be my last visit.

One of the best burgers in San Antonio. Chris Madrid's is a timeless classic that has kept its focus on great, traditional food and drinks at a moderate price for decades. A true San Antonio institution.
