The Blacksmith Arms - Stoke-on-Trent

I went to Splash Landings with a woman and 2 children, but it was too busy so we found this nearby place. The atmosphere was nice, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The menu was great, and the food was delicious, all homemade and served in large portions. My children couldn't even finish their burgers, which is a first! We will definitely come back here. It's worth the short trip from Alton Towers instead of eating at their overpriced buffet.

We stayed at Alton Towers for a few nights, and unfortunately, the experience fell short in many ways. The dining options were nothing special, overpriced, and the service was poor. We were tempted to just go to McDonald's instead of trying the Secret Garden Restaurant. However, we stumbled upon The Forging Low just a few minutes down the road and it was a delightful find. The decor was beautiful, the food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the customer service was excellent. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I highly recommend dining here and would definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
