Town Hall Mercantile Pub

I absolutely love this restaurant! My dad picked up some bread from there, and it was the best bread I've ever tasted! It's homemade and crafted with such care. I'm really grateful to have such an amazing place in our small town, and I appreciate not having to travel far to enjoy it! Thank you for bringing such high-quality food to our community!

The experience was absolutely worth it. Our waitress was incredibly friendly, and we also struck up a conversation with a local patron at the bar. We enjoyed our time so much that we stayed after finishing our meal to get some travel tips and listen to their fascinating local stories. We shared a thin-crust Hawaiian pizza, which we both loved. The restaurant has a warm, homey atmosphere—no matter where you sit, it feels like you're in your mom's or grandma's kitchen! I highly recommend giving this place a try!

This new spot might not be on everyone's radar, but I highly recommend stopping by this charming coastal town if you're looking for a dining experience that isn't overrun by tourists or focused solely on fried food. Town Hall Mercantile Pub is a delightful venue where you can enjoy pizza and fresh, homemade dishes (don’t miss the chili and cornbread) along with a nice variety of microbrews. It's a friendly and cozy place, perfect for a family pizza night or for picking up an easy, homemade meal to take to your campsite or enjoy at a picnic. They also offer some excellent, high-quality grass-fed meats at very reasonable prices, which is great for your next BBQ. I tried the baby back ribs and they were outstanding. So, if you're traveling along Route 1, I definitely recommend stopping here for a relaxing beer and a bite to eat instead of heading all the way to Bucksport or Searsport. Mercantile is a wonderful addition to this rugged and revitalizing side of Penobscot Bay—make sure to add it to your list!
