Whistle Stop Cafe - Stockton-on-Tees

The restaurant has been completely renovated and is now under new management. It is located in the railway and crafts plant. The menu features delicious baked goods, a variety of snacks, and hot entrees. The restaurant is very spacious and offers reasonable prices, fast service, and friendly staff. In addition to their regular cafe menu, they also offer picnic options.

I stopped by this restaurant while exploring the nearby cultural heritage trail. I enjoyed their delicious tea and cake, as well as their variety of cakes. It seems to be popular among locals as well as tourists, which shows that they excel in what they do.

This small coffee shop on the way back from the lake is located at Bedale Station. They offer only coffee and a delicious lemon cake. The coffee for two was served in a French press that made at least two cups. They even had frozen yogurt for our dog, which was a lovely touch.

Had a nice ride on the motorcycles to this caffe today and enjoyed a really good big cup creamy latte followed by home made beef cake chips, plucked and gravy, freshly cooked to order cake looked very nice, but I did not have one today. we will visit again and test the cake thoroughly next time, excellent place.

Part of the Bedale Railway Station complex that includes the craft shop and preserved Wensleydale Railway station. Great catering with delicious looking home made pies, Cornish pasties, cakes, etc. Chips and gravy feature with the pie, etc. A reasonable amount of parking spaces and outside...seating in good weather. They tend to stop serving food in the cafe around 3pm. Great to see the steam trains passing and the station has a level crossing and signal box. Good prices and internal seating is shall we say functional'.
