The Dutch Pot Caribbean American Flavors

The restaurant has a nice island vibe, complete with soft music, making it a family-friendly spot in a pleasant plaza location. We opted for takeout, but dining in is also available. The service was adequate; a young woman in her early 20s was at the counter. While she was able to answer our questions, her demeanor was not particularly welcoming—sometimes a simple smile can make a big difference in customer service. In summary, The Dutch Pot offers bold and vibrant flavors, with the curry goat, jerk chicken, and Rasta pasta being the highlights of our meal. However, I was disappointed with the mac and cheese, which had a grainy, powdered cheese texture. Overall, I would recommend giving The Dutch Pot a try.

I had a fantastic experience at the restaurant. We sampled a variety of dishes, and everything was delightful. My top picks were the jerk chicken, collard greens, and stewed shrimp. The service was quick and friendly, although we did have a brief wait for the freshly prepared chicken.

The place is clean, but unfortunately, the food is quite disappointing. There were no patties available, and the dishes were bland and undercooked. The lemonade tasted like Kool-Aid. I'm really let down, as I find it challenging to find good Jamaican food in the South.

I've been there twice and twice I've been charged me too much, this time I ordered the jerk chicken for two and it's priced on the board at 16.25 each. When the young lady added it all up she said $59. When I asked how is that possible she kept telling me it's two jerk chicken dinners and I explain to her if I round it up on those two dinners to $20 each they were 16 rounded up to $20 because of tax it still wouldn't come to $59 and then she said oh I'm sorry and then re-rang it up and it came to $52. I'm like no that's not possible. When I explained to her again you're overcharging me then it went down to $39. I looked at the receipt I was charged 20 apiece and then the military discount, this is the second time that I went there in a second time they charge me way too much.

The food is amazing!! I just moved from Miami, FL and finding good food is so hard. If you are looking for authentic food this is it! The service was amazing and fast. Definitely will be coming again and telling the whole world about it.
