Unfortunately, our dining experience was marred by the overpowering smell of cooking fish, despite our table being a fair distance from the open kitchen.
We ate at this restaurant on a couple of evenings during our stay at the hotel. The service was excellent. Despite the limited menu, we were very satisfied with our choices and enjoyed three-course meals each night. We especially appreciated that as a couple, we were seated at a comfortable distance from other diners.
There are only a few options on the menu compared to our last visit a year ago. While this could be a positive sign, our experience this time was not as enjoyable. It seems that the current chefs may not have a wide range of skills for last-minute choices. The portions were generous, but the taste did not meet our expectations in terms of quality.
No ambiance, paper napkins. Not 5* Dessert was cold, forgot to give bread with cheese platter. Kitchen was open plan, but no enthusiasm from chefs. Felt like a cafe. Restaurant does not match hotel.. Wouldn’t return.
As always the is exceptional and the service excellent.Prices are getting a bit steep on average £35 for a main course and £15 for starters and desserts.
