Great Specials today. Sopes for me and Mexican Flag Enchiladas (Red, White and Green) for my wife. It is a very typical small town Mexican restaurant. A menu that covers every imaginable Mexican food combination. It is oriented more towards traditional than OkieMex. Salsas were fair, service good with the exception of the manager. He seemed a little grumpy and obviously distracted by something outside, kept looking out the front door like he was trying to catch someone. Perhaps the perp that broke his window. Sopes: three fresh fried crispy corn cakes, smeared with a little refried beans to anchor the good steak slices, that topped off with lettuce tomato and sour cream. Very filling, two was enough. A deliciously seasoned bowl of Charro beans accompanied the meal. My wife’s chicken, beef and cheese enchiladas were covered with the flavorful, colorful sauces. You will need the salsa picante to kick the flavor and heat up a little. Good food, the waiters were friendly and attentive. A recommended restaurant. When in Stillwelleat here.
