Contribuiți la feedbackBeen tempted to visit Pi Bistro for ages, thought my wife and myself would try it today. On arrival the place was full of females (plus 3 males including myself) they were mostly seniors apart from three middle aged ladies having coffee. Had to order at the counter, waitress who wasn't fully informed of the menu/computer had to ask the kitchen staff where my selected items where on the list !!! Eventually, the problem was sorted, meals were OK, small portions which was reflected on the price paid and the members of staff were friendly throughout our visit.
We visited Pi Bistro for the first time and it is very convenient for a pre show dinner. The staff were all very pleasant, helpful and provided a good level of friendly service. Our order was promptly taken and two pints of chilled lager arrived speedily. Our starters of vegetable soup and, in particular, the Chilli and Lime prawns were very good. The main courses of a vegetable cannelloni attractively presented and tasty and the gammon and chips not quite so with undercooked soggy chips which should have been obvious to the chef. The menu is unadventurous and could perhaps include some dishes that could be expected in the French equivalent. The bistro itself is a pleasant area but could do with some interesting touches to differentiate it from an upmarket cafe. The tribute band we went to see was outstandingly good as was the theatre itself with a full house. We are very likely to return to the theatre based on the show and would certainly give the Bistro another try as tighter quality control could certainly have turned my rating to four stars.
I thought it would be a good opportunity to dine before a show with my partner and daughter. A complete disappointment. The food was appalling, the service was poor and the environment was like a basic canteen. My chicken was pink with blood and when I sent it back I was told it was a vein. I had to battle with the supervisor for a refund on the chicken. Another table walked out returning all their meals. A real let down and an experience I will not be repeating. Such a shame as it is a lovely theatre.
Went for a pre-show meal on Saturday night. Service was quick and friendly, and the food was lovely.Recommend the fish cakes, and had a lovely cheesecake for dessert. Good selection of wines and beers. The setting is more cafeteria than restaurant, but it's extremely convenient.
Ate there last night, awful does not cover it. Our very first time of eating there, never again. Had to send meals back, cold chips, over cooked burger, dried out lasagne and replacements were no better. Staff were great.
