Contribuiți la feedbackWe had a party of three for a special pasta dinner in the restaurant ventimiglia. our server sarah was excellent. it is a pleasant person and makes the meal much more pleasant. the food was excellent and it is all made in the house from salad dress to fresh Italian sausage. an excellent culinary experience. will definitely be back.
Had daughters communion party for about 80 people. The wait staff was great. Very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. Some of my guests actually said they compared the chicken to that of Zehnders and even liked it more. Overall great place for a great price.
An independently owned restaurant under new management, as we’re told. Wife and I dined here a couple of months ago as we are local to the area. All stars for the service the manager was very welcoming and also apologetic as he was not fully staffed on the day and apologized in advance for any delays in service. The restaurant has a nice, cosy vibe but slightly confusing at the same time with a mixture of upgraded (the lights) and old elements (ceiling, booths, cutlery). Small menu with rustic Italian dishes is definitely a big positive. Pasta and sauces made in house, as they should be for any Italian restaurant. The Fruiti de Mare was excellent with a lovely fresh and light sauce and al dente tagliatelle. The only downside was the grit in the mussels. They weren’t cleaned properly. The accompanying garlic bread was soggy and rubbery, Chicken rustica failed to hit the mark. It was bland, no seasoning and the chicken was overdone. The star of the evening was the desserts: Mama Vigi’s bread pudding and the strawberry cheesecake. Both were delicious, fresh and made in house, as we were told. The complimentary bread basket can be significantly improved. It bothered us to see packets of crackers, breadsticks, butter alongside cold dinner rolls which did not impress at all. It’s OK for Denny’s, nut Not something you would expect at a restaurant.
I liked the new smaller menu as it reflects the new owners. Previous customers should note that steaks and other items are fully removed from the menu. Sausage and Rapini speciality pasta didnt come across as being special. I was looking for more of a grilled Italian sausage to give both texture and taste to the dish. The steamed watery sausage crumble left the dish close to a microwave steam meal and lacking. Even the side salad felt lack luster. It's a good side salad for say a family diner but boring for an Italian restaurant. Overall, nothing overly bad to avoid and nothing great to recommend it either. Average dining experience in a confused Italian restaurant with family diner traits .
Prices are great. Had some opportunities as we had a big party never once did the Manager, who took our reservation, come buy and say hello or check how things were going. Mind you he was there at the bar. Food was good tasting but did come out cold. Server Andrew did a great job but forgot straws after being asked many times. He did seem a little flustered and was not sure on bar drink options.
