Shawarma Time - Sterling Heights

Meh just okay. We ordered today some meat shawarma and chicken tawook hoping to try the food out and order a few trays for a gathering tomorrow. Extremely disappointed. Chicken is burned.. so much char on the pieces and I’m convinced not all of the pieces are chicken breast like how chicken tawook/chunks are supposed to be. I’m also convinced one of the pieces was still raw on the inside. The meat shawarma saj was extremely pickle filled. I’ve counted at least 14 pieces I’ve had to take out. We like pickles but that’s excessive. The food looks great online and the restaurant is clean but after all this hype, we’re going to continue ordering elsewhere.

A nice hole in the wall place to grab a quick bite. Authentic Iraqi food, real rotating shawarma setup (not just chopped meat sold as shawarma), and authentic Iraqi kabob. The portions are very generous and the prices are comparable. Highly recommend it.Vegetarian options: Falafel

Service was very good. Food was was prepared quickly. The hummus was excellent, my Falafel wrap was just okay. I will give them another try for sure.
