Emile's Restaurant - Stephenville

Emile's Restaurant is pretty much standard hotel fair. They make no mistakes because the make no effort to be bold. Our waitress was very good. Friendly and efficient.

It's a "hit or miss" meal. Great menu but it depends on who is in the kitchen. I have had great meals there, then ordered the same thing on another visit and it's "not so good".

So I know I am in a small town, and I don't expect too much. (This attitude often leads to me to delightful surprises.) Still, though, the meal at this place was disappointing, although the service was exceptional.I had a "Thai stirfry" which came, inexplicably, with garlic bread. Sauce was ho-hum, there weren't many vegetables, and the pasta was a little overdone.To be fair, one of my friends had his first-ever club sandwich and loved it, and another had cod au gratin and said he was impressed, and a couple of people raved about the waffle fries. (I tried one, it was deliciously greasy and crisp!) Prices were a little high for what the restaurant is, but the Emile Benoit memorabilia was fascinating.

Was at Emile's restaurant on a double date with my husband and some friends. Food was awesome and made fresh. The service was great and so was the entertainment.

I was staying at the Days Inn for a business trip. I had a breakfast, a lunch, and a dinner here in that time. The prices were great, the food was great, and the service was great (aside from one waitress who obviously took a disliking to me, for some reason). I would eat there again, no hesitation.
