Newton's Saddlerack - Stephenville

A five-star restaurant has arrived in our small town of Stephenville! Mike and his well-trained staff consistently deliver exceptional dishes that you would typically have to travel to a big city to find. The enthusiastic and lively bartending team creates a cheerful atmosphere in a welcoming and relaxed setting. Meanwhile, the kitchen staff expertly prepares Chef Newton's unique appetizer specials along with his well-crafted main menu items. Dining at Newton's is an absolute delight; you are treated like family, and you'll find yourself coming back time after time as the experience only gets better, allowing you to become part of the Newton's Saddlerack family!

We were on the hunt for a new favorite spot for date night, and oh my goodness, this restaurant exceeded our expectations! It was a fantastic experience. We don't get to enjoy nights out like this often, but now I'm eagerly anticipating our next date night. It truly made the occasion even more special!

This restaurant has great advertising and positive reviews, with its chef featured on national television. The menu resembles those of high-end restaurants, and the prices are accordingly high. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet the expectations set by their marketing. We ordered a pork belly appetizer, but instead received a crawfish dish. The staff also failed to provide a wine chiller. Our waitress informed us that she would be quite busy, suggesting we flag her down if we needed anything. To her credit, she did check on us frequently to see if the food was satisfactory. The steak we had was mediocre, and the wine was predictably overpriced. Our meal took a long time to arrive due to the restaurant's busyness. The ambiance was pleasant, but the tables were too close together, creating a cramped atmosphere. The restaurant aims to emulate the vibe of NYC, LA, or Paris, yet it ultimately feels like a small-town establishment with big-city prices, average food, and below-par service. While our waitress made an effort, issues with management and food quality need to be addressed.

The steak was rare when we ordered medium. The carrot side was a large carrot on a plate. My fish was not cooked enough. The bread pudding was large chunks of bread in a bowl. The cook needs some more experience on fine dining. The service staff wasgreat. The drinks were great. Food was very disappointing.

Absolutely amazing!!! This was our first time at Newton at The Cellar and words alone can not express how wonderful everything was. The experience we had here was top notch, the staff was friendly and very helpful when explaining the menu options andspecials. The drinks were spot on with many options to chose from cocktails to wine but the food was by far the best part! Mywife got the smoked chicken and I got the chicken fried NY strip. The chef himself come out to make sure everyone in therestaurant was well taken care and we couldn't of had a better experience at Newton's. If you haven't tried it then you should..Most definitely coming back!
