El Trompo Mexican Grill - Stephenville

We had an amazing and surprising discovery while driving back from Dinosaur Valley State Park. The chicken with green sauce was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere took me back to my favorite restaurant in Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico. The service was friendly, and the dishes were incredibly fresh. This is the best Mexican restaurant we’ve found in years—easily a 20-star experience! Wow!

This place is not much on atmosphere, but it is some of the best Mexican food in Stephenville!!! Especially when you need a quick lunch. Definitely get their large burrito. They make it in an assembly line and you can pick your toppings. Super fresh!!! Their fajita meat is awesome and their green sauce is to die for. Very friendly people and super fast service.

The menu doesn’t display prices, and when I asked, the staff seemed a bit irritated. They were friendly, though. Unfortunately, everything was overpriced and lacking in flavor. The rice, chicken, steak, and even the hot sauce all tasted bland. Plus, they don’t offer free water. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

I highly recommend the "California" burrito. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly, and service is quick! It's the best taco in town!

Fantastic, authentic Mexican food. Friendly service and a great attitude. Forget Chipotle and come here. Highly recommend making this a regular stop.
