The Fat Butcher - Stellenbosch

The best mash on earth! I love this place and the steak plate they bring. The steak is always made right and oh so tender

Wish I could give it more than 5 stars. We were in Stellenbosch for a conference at the seminary. We ate at Fat Butcher on our last night after enduring the wonderful aromas each day as we walked past. Our meal exceeded every hopeful expectation. The service was great, the waiter was knowledgeable and attentive and the butternut salad and steaks were exceptional. The best meal I have had before or since. Fat Butcher has ruined steaks for us. We have dined at several restaurants since known for steak and our meals did not come close to the wonderful food at Fat Butcher. We only wish we didn't have to travel back from the US to eat there again. Bravo!!

The most amazing Foodie experience ever, from the lovely decor and setting, to smiles and banter from all staff and a superb waitron. The food was really amazing and the pairings recommended were mouth-watering. Loved every minute at this establishment and will definitely be back.

The most amazing service and experience! I thort I was in “Master cheff” I had the smoked trout which was to die for. My family members had steak. All out of this world food! I loved the sweetie jars offered to us as we left! A MUST Restaurant for anyone visiting Stellenbosch!
