Hazendal Wine Estate - Stellenbosch

We stumbled upon this restaurant on a recommendation, and I’m so glad we did! It has a charming Russian farmhouse vibe with some truly amazing decor, including an oldtimer showroom and a wine tasting room. They offer a Russian high tea option, which requires booking 24 hours in advance, as well as a lace tasting area for groups of five or more. We sampled all the wines available, and it was a lot of fun! They’ve undergone significant changes in recent years with renovations and some new additions. I can’t wait to see how they continue to evolve!

I made a reservation for Thursday because the weekends were fully booked. Dennis provided friendly and informative service. I learned a lot about the history of the farm, and the tea ceremony was truly exceptional. We spent about 90 minutes savoring some Russian tea and delicious dishes from the kitchen. I highly recommend it!

The facility is absolutely beautiful, offering a wide variety of attractions. There's a deli that features ramen menu options and wine tasting experiences. You can also enjoy a sit-down meal at the deli’s Piwnuskha restaurant. I'm eager to try the Russian tea experience, but it's important to book in advance. The timing works perfectly for families visiting Wonderdal, as both experiences last two hours. The hidden gardens at Rasen are wonderfully inviting. Additionally, the winery has a golf course and options for conference and event functions.

Nice place for a good summer picnic with family and friends. They offer picnic baskets or you can choose to buy from the restaurant or van. It is also the perfect place for these amazing looking pictures. You also have a wedding place, a party place and children's slides at the golf course lawn. Very recommended

A lovely intimate wine tasting venue with a lovely staff. The wine was delicious, including the mcc. The deli had a lovely atmosphere with thefood being delicious and had a glass of mcc to top it off. The views were picturesque
