Forsthof - Steinheim an der Murr

We were invited to a birthday party and therefore booked an overnight stay. Before the festival began, we took a long walk through the magnificent winter landscape. The service, from reception to service staff of the festival to breakfast staff, was very nice. The food at the buffet was very attractive to the eye and tasted as well. Unfortunately, in the conservatory the heating failed, which could not be eliminated despite the greatest efforts, but the staff quickly found a good solution for the satisfaction of all guests. We had a nice party and after having slept well, we served a rich breakfast buffet. A large parking space saves the search for a parking lot.

We visited the (not fully booked) Forsthof on 16.12.22 with a group of 12 people – once and so quickly no longer! Although the staff is nice – but only help, which means that it was not noticed that a guest is generally served from the right, or the overview was there who ordered the food. On the contrary, the food rolled on a device (completely inappropriate for a place like forestry) and on this stand the food was then beaten 6 minutes in the middle of the room, before the nice women distributed the service to the third loud call the food that was now only lukewarm. At some point the supplements came. It was no longer surprising that the Kaiserschmarren, named Dessert, was a finished product out of his pocket. If a service force on the table top is also set at the end of the table and requires that the empty glasses are sufficient. Conclusion – price performance does not fit at all. The experience also explains why the Forsthof, the only local, could accept a reservation for 12 people on a Friday before Christmas. If you want to eat well, you should not visit the forest dish.

Super hotel, tasty cuisine, great bar, astronomy breakfast.But, even on the rest day you should have the opportunity to organize yourself in the hotel with something to drink. A few beers over the reception halls are not meant.
