Periodic Table At Catamount Ranch

As a business owner this is a really tough review for me to make. The food was ok, certainly not what you would expect from a fine dining experience priced at this level. The service was a train wreck. Took 20 mins to get two drinks, we had already finish our appetizers when the drinks showed. The check was presented with an extra service charge deemed ?Kitchen Appreciation.? Ok so if the food was good enough to make me to consider this extra 3% fee, I might have gladly said ok. In general I think this type of extra charge is bad business. It?s the responsibility of the owner to price their products accordingly. I asked the waitress to remove the fee, gave her $200 in cash, when she returned with my cash change, the fee had not been deducted. There was no question that she understood my request. It?s my opinion that when I checkout at a restaurant I don?t want to feel like I am being taken advantage of like a Ticketmaster checkout experience. You should consider spending your money down the road and avoid this meal..

We hosted our wedding reception at Periodic Table at Catamount Ranch in June of 2022. We opted to buy out the entire venue for our event and it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The entire staff was incredibly kind, helpful, and fun. We sincerely appreciated Aurelia's (the General Manager) attention to detail and professionalism she truly went above and beyond to make sure our night was perfect for our guests, and perfect for us. We received so many wonderful comments from our families and friends regarding the food (the chef and events coordinator worked with us to select a banquet menu). From the appetizers to the dessert, everything was delicious! We were incredibly pleased with the beauty of the location, as well. Periodic Table boasts a warm and inviting interior and a gorgeous outdoor deck, complete with views of the mountains and river. Our guests loved the atmosphere and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue to hold our event. I would highly, highly recommend Periodic Table for an upscale dinner or for an unforgettable event location. (Photos taken during a previous visit in May 2022)

We enjoyed a decent but expensive meal, though there were several points that felt off. The 20-year-old prosciutto was paired with charred black toast and stale crackers; while the prosciutto itself was excellent, everything else fell short. The duck breast came on a very hot plate, yet the duck was cold, and the asparagus was tough and mostly inedible. If you're planning to serve intricate European dishes, you need to focus more on the quality of all elements. On a positive note, the flavors were well-balanced and complementary. However, you didn't have the wine that was listed on the menu. I know you can do better.

Incredible doesn't even begin to describe it! This restaurant will truly impress you. The atmosphere is inviting, and the staff are highly knowledgeable about what they do. The timing of the food service was just right, and the cocktails were even better than I anticipated. If you haven't checked it out yet, I definitely recommend giving it a try to experience it for yourself!

The timing of the dishes was also puzzling: we received charcuterie and a salad together, followed by a slew of small plates and main courses all at once later. Service was quite slow throughout our visit. Given the prices you charge, I expect a complete package that includes excellent food, inviting atmosphere, and attentive service. It seems like a misguided attempt to merge this restaurant with a golf club; you're trying to please two different crowds, and it simply isn’t working. We left feeling disappointed.
