Fish Creek Grill - Steamboat Springs

It's still one of our favorite spots in Steamboat after all these years. They have the best wings in town and excellent bar food. There are plenty of TVs to catch the game, and they also offer free Buzztime games for the kids.

I highly recommend The Tap House! The staff is fantastic, the atmosphere is welcoming, and there are a few vegan options available. Our waiter, Ian, went above and beyond to accommodate us. When he learned that I had run a half marathon just two days earlier, he brought out a bag of ice for my legs, which was so thoughtful. My boyfriend ordered mozzarella sticks, a burger, and a selection of beers, and we were impressed by how quickly our food arrived. If you don't pay a visit, you're definitely missing out!

Everyone loved the wings and chicken wraps. The beer selection was great. However, the service was slow, even though the place wasn’t crowded, which is why I deducted a star.

When you enter, you go downstairs to a space that has a really cool and rustic vibe. There’s a huge bar with a good selection of liquors, and plenty of TVs, making it an ideal spot for catching a game. I would definitely recommend it for large groups, and it's very family-friendly too—with a little arcade in the back for the kids to enjoy!

The food was delicious—definitely the best wings in Steamboat, with an excellent variety of flavors to choose from. Our group tried several options: the Super Duper Hot had a fantastic flavor with a good level of spiciness, the Jamakin Jerk was close to authentic, and the Spicy Garlic Parmesan could have used a bit more sauce, but it was still flavorful. We also ordered a side Caesar salad, which was crisp and delightful, with very tasty croutons! One appetizer we had, which I can’t remember the name of, should really be considered a lunch entrée. It featured chicken coated in your choice of wing sauce (for an extra 50 cents, though that isn’t noted on the menu), served with lettuce, guacamole, and other toppings tucked into perfectly fried crunchy tortillas. A suggestion for the owners: consider providing crayons or some form of entertainment for kids, as we noticed a few families with young children during our visit.
