Bamboo - Stawell Australia

This is my local Chinese restaurant but we had never tried it before we were pleasantly surprised. The service was super quick the owners were so nice and friendly and the food was so so good. It definitely rivals more expensive, high end restaurants I've been to. The presentation of the food was lovely and we had a few special requests as we were eating out with our toddler but nothing was too mush hassle. NB no high chairs available just beware.

I am ashamed to say I have never put a google review for the bamboo house up. But that’s probably because I have been going long before there was even an internet, so never thought to do it. We have celebrated so many occasions with you, and without fail have had the best meals, with the most friendly service. I am gutted you guys are closing. Absolute gem of a restaurant in Mitcham of all places! Great prices, lovely staff, turns out family run too!

Absolutely lovely had my very first Chinese meal with my wife it was very tasty freshly cooked. The staff were very friendly a s whilst we waited for our takeaway they gave us a complimentary drink. Will be making sure we go again. Thanks everyone.

So sorry to hear the bamboo house is closing on 24th December, I've been going (like many others) since the 1960s, fantastic food, great service, lovely lovely staff, you will be greatly missed, good luck to you all enjoy your retirement, love to you all
