Papa Johns Pizza - Staunton

Went to the drive thru. No one was there. Went to taco bell. F this place.

They messed up my order, and wouldn’t answer the phone. Tried calling them for 2 hours and kept getting put on hold forever.

Got a takeout pizza for my son. He seemed to enjoy it.

Called at 11:02pm, they close at 11:30pm. Employee answered and said take out or delivery. After saying take out, he asked if I wanted the Shaq-o-Roni special. I said no I'd like something else. He then said well we aren't taking other orders good bye and hung up. What a terrible way to treat a customer wanting to pay for food, and to only take an order for their special and nothing else. Papa Johns has already fallen in quality and flavor to Domino's and Pizza Hut, but now I must say I won't order from them at all.

Idk why the delivery experience can vary so much. I work late nights so when I’m in the mood to not cook and just want some delivery I’ll order from here. I’ve had times where the delivery driver is still at my house waiting on me to come home (which is a little awkward) other times they’ll send me a pic/text so I know. Rare occasions I’ll be home before the delivery… a simple knock or text is cool, got it. But tonight the just leaving it no warning I don’t favor. I just know from past experiences I may say 10pm delivery but it comes 15-20 min early (fine) but IF I’m home with no warning how long has this been sitting in the rain and cold that I COULD have gotten if I knew it arrived ya know? I don’t need my drivers to hover like a helicopter mom but at the same time a heads up it’s here would be nice . Thanks
