Cranberry's Grocery Eatery - Staunton

I visit this restaurant frequently because I really enjoy the food and the ambiance. However, this morning I ordered a breakfast burrito to go, intending to eat it at my office. Unfortunately, when I opened it, the filling was so watery that it fell apart immediately. There has to be a better way to prepare these to avoid such a mess. I spent $15 on a meal, and most of it ended up being inedible.

As for the decor, it's important to note that this establishment primarily operates as a drugstore, yet the furnishings were quite appealing. The vintage two-blade fans hanging from the textured tin ceiling were particularly mesmerizing; they all functioned using belts connected to a single motor. It was fascinating to observe. While we aren't particularly knowledgeable about homeopathic medicine and can't comment on how well they serve that purpose, our breakfast experience was certainly satisfying.

The restaurant should definitely promote itself as vegetarian/vegan. The menu is quite limited, featuring only one meat option (turkey). While the staff was very friendly, the selection of non-meat items was also restricted, with fewer than 20 choices available. I wouldn’t describe it as a grocery store, but rather a health supplement shop that has a small eatery in the back. On a positive note, they did offer my favorite Nightingale Ice Cream Sandwiches, which I was excited to introduce to my teenage grandchildren. They also had Route 11 potato chips. Overall, it's a nice little spot for a quick meal, but if you're a meat lover, you might leave feeling disappointed.

I almost always get here when I come to Staunton. I like the vibe, the coffee is good. Was a little disappointed this recent visit, however, in that the menu has been trimmed, options more limited. I understand why, though, and certainly not the onlyplace to do this in light of the times. The quiche remains a reliable choice, as always.

Wonderful staff and great unprocessed food here! The atmosphere is wonderful too. Keep it up, Cranberry?s!
