Twisted Oak American Grill

A really cool restaurant in downtown Statesville. They have an awesome atmosphere with really neat art and a good outdoor seating area. They have awesome cocktails and a huge bourbon/whiskey selection. The food is pretty good but not as quite as good as you’d expect with such a great environment. It reminds of a better Outback or Olive Garden

My first visit here, and the food is fantastic at this locale. Great selection of spirits and wide variety of food, from comfort to fine dining. But I have to say something about the service. Possibly the best I've enjoyed in NC. Honestly, I can't say enough about the service. Visit when you can, someone recommended the Twisted Oak to me, and I look forward to my next visit! Try the ribeye steak!

I had the meatloaf dish, and my wife had a seafood sandwich. The meatloaf and broccoli side were under-seasoned and needed salt but otherwise were good. The seafood sandwich was delicious as served. The restaurant has a lot of small rooms so I found the atmosphere intimate and we were able to have a nice conversation. I would definitely return.

Food was fantastic as always. Thanks so much to Ashton for making our evening special. Food was great but Ashton just made our evening.

Had a fabulous lunch there last week. My husband had the prime steak sandwich and was actually asked the level of cook he wanted a first for him when ordering a steak sandwich. They had a HUGE bourbon list. Would have liked to see a few more upscale wine (Pinot Grigio options. Our server (I wish I could remember her name… maybe Crystal? was a delight and single handedly managed the dining room service. Looking forward to our next visit soon!
