Sweet Thing Bakery Cafe - Statesville

The girl working was fairly friendly, and the cupcake and cookie selection inside the bakery was good. It was a little cupcake heavy, but that’s not a problem with this particular customer, but if you seek diversity, this may not be the best choice as about 90% of the offerings were cookies or cupcakes.They also had a small coffee area inside. The cookies we had very okay, but not among the best we’ve had.The location was clean, well lit and laid out nicely. There was a fair amount of cut side parking on the Broad Street entrance side.If we happened to be in the mood for a sweet treat, AND in the area we MIGHT revisit, but we would not likely go out of our way to return.

I can’t thank Preston and the staff at Sweet Things Bakery enough!!!!!! A week before my wedding 10/9/21 the original baker who was booked 8 months before my wedding disappeared!!!! I called Sweet Things Bakery in hopes to get a wedding cake made with such short notice. I spoke with a young lady at the bakery whom i expressed my issue with and she took my info down and advised that the owner would contact me at his earliest convenience! To my surprise Preston called and advised that he would be able to make my wedding cake!!! I sent Preston a picture and he nailed my wedding cake. My wedding cake was beyond delicious!!! All of our guest keeps raving about it. Preston and staff were very professional!!! We are forever grateful for this bakery!!!

The best we have ever had! The cake was moist and the icing was tasty rich. A great place to order any kind of a cake you need!

I was blown away by this bakery! We booked with Preston and the team in early September for an October 1st birthday party for our son. Not only did they absolutely deliver with the looks of the cake, the taste was amazing!! It was a hit amongst all of our guests and we truly enjoyed it.
