The food was great for the price. The service was outstanding; the young woman at the register did an excellent job. However, the restaurant could use some cleaning. Given how busy they were, it's understandable. I would definitely visit again.

The food was decent, and the milkshake was delicious. However, the staff was disrespectful. One employee tossed my card and rolled her eyes at me when I asked her to repeat my order because she had mixed it up with someone else's.

Cookout is my top choice for fast food. It's remarkably budget-friendly for families, and the food tastes far superior to your usual fast food fare. The burgers evoke nostalgic memories of a perfectly grilled burger from a backyard barbecue. Their shakes are some of the best around, offering a wide selection of flavors. I also strongly recommend the quesadillas—they're much tastier than anything you’d find at Taco Bell. Service here is prompt, even during long drive-thru lines, and the staff is consistently polite and friendly.

The restaurant features a nice, clean, and modern dining area, complete with patio seating. The interior is decorated with wooden elements, showcasing bears and wolves, which reflects the North Carolina mountain vibe. However, the experience was marred by the behavior of the woman taking orders, Ivy S. She was not pleasant at all. It would have been nice if she had asked, "May I take your order?" instead of just staring at customers and waiting for them to begin. Her demeanor was far from welcoming, conveying that she didn’t want to be there at all.

The restaurant provides excellent combo options with a diverse range to choose from. They even offer a smaller tray option that isn't limited to just kids' meals. The milkshakes are incredible, and my personal favorite is the peanut butter fudge. The chicken nuggets are also quite delicious!
