Captain's Galley Seafood - Statesville

I get this more to go than dine in, but this is my go to for fried oysters. the flounder is an excellent ad on.

Very disappointing. The staff was very friendly and efficient, but the food was terrible. The broiled scallops and trout was tasteless, overcooked, and most likely previously frozen. The chicken tenders salad was a head of iceberg lettuce, one tomato wedge, 3 cucumber slices, and 4 small, unseasoned pieces of tasteless chicken. Top it with some bland Ranch dressing, and there you have it. The one enjoyable aspect of dinner was the hot, crispy, delicious hush puppies brought immediately to your table. Unfortunately, good hush puppies are not a good enough reason to return.

Ordered the Alaskan White fish potato salad and greens...got the food and it wasn't what I ordered at all and my sides were completely not in the bag. So I call the restaurant and am told that I have to go through DoorDash about the issue and was alsotold that one of the dashers take people's food from the bag....needless to say I won't be using Dash anymore I will stick toUberEats like normal. The lady on the phone was super sweet though I truly don't think it was an issue on their end cause I'venever had this issue with getting the wrong food from there.

Ordered takeout. Food was great, they were not super busy, but ended up waiting about 10 minutes after they estimated it'd be ready to pick it up. Reasonable value for the steeper prices. Would recommend.

Excellent food and service! We had the Alaskan White Fish and Deviled Crab..both tasted really good. Our waitress was great! She was always checking with the tables to make sure everyone was taken care of, refills were quickly done and she was so kindand friendly. Definitely worth going to.
