Applebee's Neighborhood Grill

The restaurant offers very limited vegetarian options. My meal was served one item at a time, which resulted in some of the food being cold by the time the French fries arrived. Additionally, I was charged for five small pieces of dry celery that were nearly inedible.

I then asked a waitress from the table next to us to check if our drinks were ready. When she inquired about it, our waitress jumped up, laughed, and said, “Oh, I forgot,” as if chatting at the bar was more important. I have many more negative comments to make, but I’ll spare you the details. Suffice it to say, we won't be returning. Each time we visit the Applebee’s in Statesville, we end up disappointed. We didn’t even get to eat because she never put our order in.

After waiting for at least 10 minutes, he finally returned to take our orders, which included an appetizer and the same two entrees. The appetizer, the Classic Combo, was delivered by a runner (not our waiter) and was excellent. However, it was only a short time later that our entrees were brought out by the same runner and the hostess. Unfortunately, the entrees were cold. It seemed they had been prepared at the same time as the appetizer but left sitting in the kitchen while we enjoyed our appetizer. Throughout our meal, not once did anyone come by our table to check in on us or ask if we needed anything. The service was disappointing and so was the quality of the entrees. We settled the bill using the app, asked the hostess for a to-go box for the leftover appetizer, and left. Overall, I wouldn’t choose to revisit this restaurant.

It's my daughter's 21st birthday and she requested to go to a similar restaurant also in Statesville, I call and reserve a table for 6:30 and even get a confirmation text. When some of our party arrives they know nothing about it, barely acknowledge we're there. My son calls Applebee's and they can seat us now, we drive up the street and WOW what a difference. We were lucky enough to have Zari as our server. She didn't even blink when we went in. She waited on our party of 15 like we were family and friends , our food was exceptional and the drinks were never empty!! Thanks for helping make her 21st birthday memorable and fun!!!

Paula was our server. Tonight was her first night as a server. She was amazing. Food was hot, fast and just as I ordered. Pleasant experience. Will be back very soon.
