The hotel doesn't offer room service, the Steakhouse requires reservations, and The Zone is a glorified Starbucks stand... so the Cafe was our only option for dinner (since we'd been driving all day and didn't want to leave). 1 table was seated when we arrived. The hostess led us to our table immediately. It took 15 minutes before someone took our order. My wife pointed to the menu and asked for a margharita pizza. The waitress confirmed, via the microprint below the item: that's only if you're at The Zone. Then why is it on your menu at the Cafe, if you don't offer it? Whatever. They had a regular cheese pizza, so my wife went for that. I got the chicken tenders. Everything tasted like movie theater food. Very processed and low quality. My wife's pizza came out looking awful. The crust was white, the cheese looked oddly coagulated and shiny... Like a previously cooked pizza that they just reheated. She made it through 1 slice, but felt nauseous after. She ended up puking, 30 minutes later when we got back to our room, and said she immediately felt better, so clearly the pizza made her sick. Lastly: our visit was mid pandemic, so masks were required. Not only did the hostess have her mask below her nose the entire time, but she escorted 2 parties into the restaurant with patrons that either weren't wearing masks or had them on their chin. Whether you agree with masks or not, the staff is required to wear them and not admit patrons without them. This restaurant clearly doesn't care about health or safety standards. If they don't care about masks, what else are they slacking on in the back of the house? We won't be back. We can get the same quality cuisine at a traveling circus or middle school walk a thon.
Everybody in this casino is wildly rude. Brent, the heavyset guy who manages the café was so mean to our party. When we showed up, 17 minutes late... He told us they canceled our reservation because we were 20 minutes late. When I pointed out that we were only 17 minutes late and we were in the hotel, they could've called us... He then told me he could cancel it after 10 or 15 minutes. I have never had such terrible service and rude people that I encountered in this hotel. We had five rooms and spent thousands of dollars in the casino. In the attitude that we were not with was so unprofessional and so mean that we spent the last two nights in our rooms parting with our friends instead of going out. There are a lot of options in Tahoe, don't stay here.
This review is for the coffee walk up counter in Mont Bleu. We are currently staying at the hotel and today is our 10 year anniversary. The fresh brewed coffee was so terrible, I could not drink it and I'm not picky about coffee. I will usually drink anything. I tried to go back down to get a fresh cup and the lady working was very rude and it seemed to bother her that I didn't like the coffee. I asked for a refund after she told me the coffee was fresh brewed, which it did not taste like it. She told me she didn't have a code for a refund so she couldn't give me a refund. I would have normally been okay with her making me something else, which she did and it was equally as bad tasting. The lady working was so rude and not what I would expect from a hotel. Definitely won't be staying at Mont Bleu again. My poor husband is now walking to Harrah's just to get me a cup of black coffee.
My mom and I came here to have a late dinner at 9pm because their hours posted said they were open until 10pm. The hostess was at the bar with no mask on laughing and chatting it up with another employee. After waiting 5 minutes she 's comes over and asks what we want. I asked her if we can order to go and she cuts me off mid sentence and says we 're closed. I said but your hours say, and she cut me off again and said we 're closed! After reading all the reviews I 'm pretty sure we dodge a bullet by not eating the food. And the management clearly doesn 't care about all the bad comments because all they reply is thanks for your comment . For the price they charge to stay here, you would think they would be able to have better food and customer service! Very disappointing!
This review is for the small counter cafe serving Starbucks. If I could give ZEEO stars I would. There was only one young lady (with green hair and pretty makeup) working behind the counter with at least 4-8 people in line both times I went to get coffee. First time at 9 second time at 10. Service was slow but wouldn't have been such a big deal if there was ANY sort of customer service. After waiting in line for a half hour, it was my turn. The girl just walked away, no I'll be right with you, I'm sorry we are slammed, or even a smile. My mom gave up and went back to the room. She comes back and takes my order. Hands me my warmed up croissant and I move over to wait for my drink. She doesn't make it though, she just moves onto the next guest in line. No biggie. She rings him up and then proceeds to make his smoothies. Never even started my coffee. At this point I see a manager and ask to speak with her. While I'm talking to the manager, the coffee girl starts talking about me and I can hear her. At this point I ask for my money back, give them the croissant back and ask for another manager. It is absolutely unacceptable to talk about your guests. The next manager was kind, but if this is what to expect from Montbleu, we won't ever be staying here again.
