Fiesta On Main - Stamford

I recently discovered this hidden gem in my neighborhood while on my way to the supermarket, located diagonally across from Shop Rite on Main St. The service and food were both fantastic. For starters, I enjoyed the Papas a la Huancaina, followed by the Lomo Saltado Especial with a side of Maduros (ripe plantains). The huancaina sauce was delicious, the skirt steak was tender, juicy, and flavorful. The green dipping sauce and bread were also very tasty. The only downside was that they only served Coke products instead of Pepsi. There were a few hiccups in the kitchen, such as my appetizer being served after my entree and receiving the wrong entree, but overall, the food and service were excellent. I plan to return with my wife and I'm sure they will earn a 5-star rating from us.

I visited this restaurant yesterday and dined alone. I ordered the lomo, which tasted good, but the frozen margarita was not great. However, they removed it from my bill, which was a relief. When I received the bill, I noticed that a tip had been automatically added. As a server myself, I found this practice ridiculous, especially since there was no indication of an automatic tip policy unless the party had six or more people. Overall, I probably won't return to this restaurant.

This was my first time dining at this restaurant. The waitress was very patient and took the time to translate the menu for me. I started with bread and a delicious aji sauce that had flavors of avocado, jalapeno, and ranch dressing. For my main course, I chose the Lomo Chico, which was similar to steak fajitas with onions, fresh tomatoes, and "french fries," served with a side of rice. The restaurant was quiet and empty, and the wait staff was very attentive.

It is absurd that the restaurant closes at 8:29 pm on a Thursday night, especially considering its downtown location.

The service at this restaurant is terrible and the quality of the food has declined. It used to be amazing but now it's just okay. The prices are high and have increased by $10 per dish, which seems excessive. The servers are inconsistent, some are great while others are extremely rude. They charge high prices but provide low quality service. It's better to go to acuario across the street where you may pay the same price but the food will be worth it.
