Otway Junction Motor Inn - Stalker

Based on the recommendation of another Lavers Hill shop owner, we decided to try the Bistro of the Otway Junction Motor Inn for lunch on Sunday July 2. We were very impressed with the friendly service given by an older lady serving at the time. However, after waiting for our order for almost 50 minutes, it finally arrived. I had the rump steak with warm potato salad. The steak was unimaginably tough and full of gristle. It was very large, but was so terrible that I had to leave most of it. My wife had the so-called "special" of the day - Schnapper with risotto and steamed greens. The snapper was the smallest I have ever seen, and had been stuffed so full of chillies that it could not be eaten. Likewise, the risotto was also heavily laced with chillies. It, too, was inedible. All in all, these meals would have to be the absolute worst we have ever been served. I would not even recommend that my worst enemy eat here. Steer well clear of the Otway Junction Motor Inn Bistro. The only reason I rated this place as "Terrible" was because there were no lower categories to describe this establishment.

Lovely and clean, shower was great. Room was comfortable. Food was great at restaurant, staff friendly, enjoyed our stay

Awesome pizza and very friendly service. It is rustic and traditional and has an amazing view over the forest!! Lovely stop for lunch!

This is a great place to have a delicious and satisfying dinner. The fresh fish special was indeed fresh and tasty and the accompanying risotto was as good as I have had anywhere. Dined on the veranda with a lovely view. Thanks!

Selected this place based on its location near to Otway Treetops and to see the gloworms. The town is very small with not many options. The room was small, the screen door to the back porch area had holes which had let in many flies. The back porch needed a good cleaning.
