This place is a local favorite for fresh fish. I purchase here almost weekly. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

The best fish market in the area has sadly closed its doors. This is a disappointing day for both St. Pete and Tampa. I was planning to have my wife prepare a red snapper in escovitch style, but I just received the unfortunate news that they are no longer in business. Good luck finding a replacement that compares to this one! If you discover another decent spot, please share it here because this one is no longer available.

This is the only place I've purchased seafood in the past 20 years. It's truly an iconic spot. They have fish in coolers and fishermen unloading buckets in the back. If anything were to happen to Mastry's, I would go on a hunger strike as the Captain's daughter!
