Marchand's Grill - St. Petersburg

A great breakfast. I tried the spyman benedict. very good, but not as good as regular benedikt.

This restaurant was top notch! The breakfast buffet was delish and well priced...service by Wes was outstanding he even gave us a congratulatory dessert as a wedding gift...

What an amazing place! What a stupendous dinner! Each dish was expertly made and absolutely delicious. I had the Grouper and my date the Prime Rib. For desert the pound cake and the warm chocolate cake with coffee and bourbon. Our waiter was excellent and very helpful in choosing a wine to go with our meals.

Service was very slow. We'd been seated for 10 minutes when the manager came to see if anyone had seen us. She got us beverages and said a waitress would be with us soon. The waitress then told us she'd be right there and was smoother 5 minutes before she was back. Buffet food was good and plentiful. Eggs benedict from the kitchen was over cooked with a solid yoke. The place is fine but not great and certainly not worth the price tag.

Poor Service, Expensive, Sub-par Food- As a member of the club this place I've tried many times hoping for a good result to offset all the previous visits. My most recent attempt was for lunch taking some family visiting from out of town. I was boasting Vinoy as having the best of the best service and it blew up in my face. The hostess was rude, wouldn't seat us in a spot we desired despite the place being empty. After spending over $100 on lunch for 3 people nobody was impressed with the food. The only saving grace is the atmosphere but you're far better off to go anywhere else on beach drive.
