Cafe Botanika - St Petersburg

Nothing great or innovative. We were there late in the evening, several dishes were not available for ordering, because of the lack of some ingredients, so I had almost no choice and ordered couscous with vegetables, which looked and tasted like the deep frosted one sold in stores.

I had the don pedro (I think that 's as it was called) sandwich and it tasted so good and fresh for such simple ingredients (green, bean, maize etc.)! I also had their bananika, that is bananenbrot with (I think) banana sauce and berries. amazing! updated by previous review on 2018-08-19

Mooie plek met vriendelijk personeel en zeer uitgebreide keuze uit allerlei keukens. Lunch menu was heel goed.

Saint-Petersburg is the unofficial vegan capital of Russia, there are many veg sites there, but Ботаника will always be my favorite. I love his atmosphere, warm and friendly intimate. the menu is extensive and offers dishes from a series of kitchens (indian, japanese, italian, “Russian” . I recommend gaumen and lakshmi drink, perfect after a walk in the cold. I've been there many times, and a few times it was a bit cold. but still good. the desserts are usually raw, which is not really my ding.
