Tiki Shak At Pauly's Cafe - St. Marys

The service was acceptable, and we ordered Diet Coke and sweet tea. They inquired about soups, but unfortunately, they don't serve them warm. We also asked about the chicken salad, but they were out of that. We settled for a shrimp salad on a croissant, accompanied by potato salad. Unfortunately, what we received was disappointing. The croissant was small, with just a slice of tomato and a tiny piece of lettuce, and there may have been a dozen small shrimp, but it didn’t resemble any shrimp salad we’ve had before. It was overly salty and tasted like Durkee salad dressing, lacking any celery or onion. We definitely won't be returning and cannot recommend this place based on our experience.

We attempted to dine there multiple times, but each time we found the restaurant open yet empty inside. It appears they do well with outdoor seating but not so much with indoor dining. On our third visit, we finally got to enjoy a meal there, and it was fantastic, even though we were the only patrons inside.

We stopped here during our trip to Cumberland Island to grab lunch, and I’m so glad we did! I’m currently following some specific food restrictions, and the staff was incredibly accommodating. They asked how I wanted my sandwich prepared and went the extra mile to make it just right for me. Everyone was super friendly and helpful! The sandwich was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable.

We had croissant sandwiches. Food ok but nothing special. Go to the Riverside Cafe instead. Small place with tables crowded together and some staff not wearing masks. Wouldn't go back.
