It was that or the fact that I have no car, it is 18 degrees, and not much in walking distance. Either way, I tried it out. Decent atmosphere, great service, good wine, and food was tasty. I had the Alamos Malbec, which I always recommend. There was bread with 3 different types of butter. I got the fish tacos which were delightful. No complaints and since I was here for two nights, I went back and had the chicken pot pie, recommended as their in house delicacy. Very tasty, but HUGE. Overall good experience. The freezing rain has actually cancelled my flight so I may be back tonight for more Malbec.
Amazing food!!!! Love the flavor combinations!!!! Both items I had were over the moon fantastic. The service was excellent as well, very fast and very friendly. My only negative was the pricing. I realize this is a hotel restaurant so prices are inflated. But I would definitely recommend if you are staying here. The Grand Marnier cheesecake was one of the best desserts I've had.
Room service could not have been worse. I made it very clear that I did not want cheese on my burger (and the receipt reflected that), but the burger still came with melted cheese on top, and without the wine I ordered. It was an easy and fixable mistake that has taken over an hour to correct (I still don't have the burger or the wine). I was on the second floor. Picking it up would have been faster. To make matters worse, its It's a shame that the hotel adds an 18% tip automatically without informing you beforehand or letting you know.
I was staying nearby and looking for a place to have dinner and unwind when I came across Loren's post. I was only in town for the day. As I was chatting with my grandmother, I sat down at the table. Shima quickly took my drink order and had it to me before it was even entered into the computer. It was a small gesture, but it made me feel welcomed. When she took my card and entered it into the system, she greeted me by name, even though we hadn't spoken yet. This attention to detail made me feel like more than just a customer; it made me feel like a regular. After enduring a layover due to bad weather in Detroit and spending three days in various cities, I was feeling quite frustrated. Shima's personalized service helped improve my mood. The restaurant is located inside a Marriott, so the prices are a bit higher, but that often comes with the territory of frequent travel. I would give Shima 6 stars for her exceptional service.
My husband is attending a conference at this restaurant for the second time. Last night, after searching for the hostess and inquiring about their operating hours, I ordered a burger. It came with bacon and cheese, but no vegetables or sauce. The waitress explained that two cooks had gone home sick. We also ordered cocktails, which were expensive and didn't arrive until after our meal. This morning, I came for breakfast and ordered bacon and eggs. Once again, I was told they were short-staffed, this time with waitresses rather than cooks. I waited 30 minutes for my small breakfast, which I finished in just 5 minutes. I waited an additional 20 minutes for someone to collect my $14.50 bill. When I paid with a $20 bill, the waitress took out five $1 bills from the next table and handed them to me. It might be advisable to rent a car so you can dine at other restaurants during your stay.
