Gooseberries - St Louis

I checked this place with my mother during a time when they should be open. the door was locked, but the front door clearly said they should be open. I'm not going to go anymore because it was a huge waste of time.

I had been waiting to check this place out since they offered vegan and non vegan food. Boy I was thoroughly disappointed. We waited no joke 1 hour and 20 minutes for brunch (mind you it wasn't crazy busy). I ordered vegan banana pancakes, donuts, and crispy tofu. Great concept but seriously lacking in service. I worked in the restaurant industry for years and understand the behind the scenes. At least acknowledge to customers the typical wait for food and expectations that is general courtesy. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. Save your time and go to Rooster or Treehouse.

Not sure how I didn't leave a review yet. this is far and away the best late night food in St Louis. It's also awesome on Thursday evenings when I want some nice cozy comfort food! Great vegan options, amazing slingers. DELICIOUS banana pancakes. one time they gave us free hand pies. One time they had chicken and dumplings that was to DIE FOR. I love watching Shrek on VHS when I'm here. They also have a ginger iced coffee which is a flavor EXPLOSION. Very queer friendly!

Delicious! Incredible, unique, so special. I will bring everyone here, the world needs more places like this. BELOVED

Neat spot in a residential area. Food wait time was slow. Place didn’t look that busy to justify wait time. I got the fried bologna sandwhich was good for the price
