Ship Inn - St. John's

Decent place for fish, chips dressing and gravy..recommend it. The dressing was spot on almost like Nans lol. The best part was the batter on the fish was very light and not heavy at all. The server was awesome also, name escapes me but the dude in the plaid shirt. He was friendly and had a good laugh with us.

I go to the ship weekly and love their service and their food is stellar. Compared to the overpriced high end restaurants or the standard fast food /pub grub downtown this place is fantastic.

I gave the Merchant one star this week... deservedly so, but after having probably the best veggie burger ever (The Ultimate Veggie Burger, with an incredibly delicious greek salad on the side that no grocery produce department in town can touch for freshness), I felt like I had to visit your page and give you 5 stars... A) because you and the wonderful people at the Ship deserve it, and B) I need balance in my life. Thanks.

One of the best spots to relax and have a meal downtown. Try anything on the Chef's weekly menu!

When human civilization finally falls, and future beings unearth our buildings and dwellings, their finest minds will ponder the existence of The Ship as a place where people met below ground to socialize and enjoy music. Until that day, it's ours to enjoy. Great staff, cheap drinks, great craic!
