Quintanas De La Plaza - St. John's

Good waiter, but the food is overpriced and dirty. We had no reserve, so they put us up, and first the lights were out, no music and the heaters turned everything off. We ate with our coats. $25 for the cheapest...burrito looks high, but I would like to pay for good food. But $25 for a moderate burrito isn't okay... I'm staying here.

Perhaps the worst Mexican restaurant I've ever experienced! Really mediocre food, obviously stayed much too long shimmering, at a price four times what a good Mexican restaurant would charge! I had much better Burritos at Mount Sinai Hospital from Toronto for $6. Only here in St. John’s, where they obviously don’t know better, would survive such a place!

Unfortunately, not the same experience as it used to be. The portions of food were very small compared to what they used to be. The chips tasted a little stale and the salsa was thin and watery. I had a beef and chicken flauta. They...were much smaller than they used to be. The chicken was OK but the beef was awful. There were 4 small bits of beef in one flauta, 2 of which were fat and grizzle. It seems that the owners are skimping on the food and increasing the prices. With over 20 charged for a plate, you shouldn't leave hungry. So disappointed...this restaurant was a favorite for many years

A great value and tasty and consistent Tex-Mex food. Pleasant atmosphere. Top notch service. The frozen margaritas are delicious also!

We waited awhile to get served but our food did come quickly. I ordered the taco salad and what a disappointment. The menu said it has seasoned chicken so I figured it had some Mexican flavouring..well the season was salt and the chicken was little...chunks of chicken. Very little tomato and no sign on of onion. I guess the popularity of the salad is the big shell which was not impressive. A child order of nachos had only cheese and we were charged extra for a few small bits of tomato. It was my first time there in a few years. I always liked my meals there but this one was disappointing. May be awhile before I need back there!
