Merlo's Press and Bean - St. John's

This is closed at this location. Owners have opened at another location on the other side of town with a completely different menu and different name.

This is a nice place to eat out for a special occasion or just a nice dinner or lunch. I love their pan fried cod three course meal. It's located downdown St. John's a great place to take a walk around at stores also

Excellent meal on a Monday night. Menu had a good variety with unexpected asian entrees among standard fare. Seafood chowder was exceptional - hearty, well flavored and steaming hot. Vancouver Panini was outstanding. The cod dinner was also superb - perfectly cooked fish and tasty vegetables. Service was excellent. Easy parking. Highly recommend. I will be a return customer.

Great atmosphere, service and food. Had ordered the red pepper soup and hadn't realized it was spicy. Tasted good, but couldn't eat it. Waitress asked if there was a problem and I told her that I couldn't drink the soup. She asked if I'd like a salad instead at no extra cost!!! I was very impressed. The panini sandwiches and strawberry salad was excellent. Very reasonable cost. Highly recommend.

Merlot has many locations in town this is a great one for healthy eating choices like stir fry meals. I am never disappointed with a Merlos meal.
