Pesce Italian - St. John

Our second visit this week during the holiday in stt. the homemade pasta and tasteful sauces are great!

We went there every year in the january, this year very disappointing. there were 4 of us, eating was simply not the same and our gast ordered a vodka tonikum and he said I don't know what vodka used them, but it's the worst I ever had.

Molly was an excellent server, very attentive and knowledgeable. As always, Pesce made our evening special. The food was outstanding! We enjoyed the beet salad (the best on the island), the meatballs, the kalbshacker (a showstopper), and the aubergine parm. Everything was fantastic.

The food was amazing, but the service was terrible. We have dined at Pesce a few times before and had great experiences, but tonight was a letdown. Our waitress was not attentive at all, taking 15 minutes to bring us water after we had seated ourselves. She never checked in on us during the two hours we were there. The kitchen was slow, but with how busy they were, the waitress should have offered us more drinks or appetizers. The manager came by (at our request) and apologized for the poor service.

The food at this restaurant is incredible and the service is top-notch.
