Voujon Indian Cuisine - St Edmundsbury

Visited Valentines Day and was surprised the establishment was practically empty considering the reviews and rating it has. Disinterested waiting staff that spent most of there time laughing and joking together. Show to a unset table and when the waiter turned up with cutlery he literally threw them down in a heap. Food was OK, but got the impression they didn't care either way weather it was enjoyed or not. Had to hang around to get the bill as all staff in kitchen having a laugh, ended up having to ask for it at the bar area as i'd clearly been forgotten about. I'm all for enjoying your work place, but don't forget your job is supposed to be serving the paying customer. Most definitely would not return, very poor spend of money. How can they get it so wrong with only a handful of tables occupied?? Wasn't even asked if the meal had been enjoyed. Basic fundamentals, it's not difficult.

The food was delicious, as usual. We always have a pleasant experience here. Excellent service. Hasan was extremely attentive, very polite and helpful.

Excellent food would recommend the brinjal bhaji and the dansak. The food is really well seasoned and spiced, not overpowering and not greasy. We both had starters, sides, curry, rice, nan, poppudum and drinks for under £50 very reasonable for a feast! Service was great the restaurant was completely full and we didn't feel rushed at all.

Chose this restaurant as it was rated as the best Indian in the town however the food was of a very low standard. Onion bhajis were soft as were the poppadoms. The main dishes as we began to eat and things cooled down started to have a pool of water on the surface which clearly indicate all frozen and not fresh and the flavour of all the food was very average. In its favour the prices were reasonable and the staff were friendly. Not a place I would visit again unless there was a drastic change.

Lovely service, always looked after! Food is wonderful, great ambience in the restaurant. Would definitely recommend!
