Mele Trattoria - St. Catharines

If you are looking for the best authentic Italian pasta experience, this place is hard to beat. I ordered every item on the menu they change every season, and I was never disappointed. The only thing I don't like is that they're not open a few days a week. Make sure to get a reservation on weekends because the place is not so big and they may not be able to sit you.

Chef Leonardo is a fantastic cook! Everything is great, but especially worth mentioning is the EGGPLANT PARMASAN. All pasta dishes are delicious, but my favorite is the Seafood Pasta. The ambience is very relaxing and the staff is super friendly. Yea Julie!

Another great night in Mele last weekend. Inverno salad, pasta feature and a specially made dish of my chosen apps were all fresh and delicious. Service with a smile. was nice to get out again!

We came to find that the restaurant was transformed into a cozy dining area. We had dinner on the small but remote terrace. The umbrellas and low lights were a beautiful touch. Our server Julie was very friendly and helpful, and when we stayed too long, she seemed to excuse us that another party needed our table. The seafood lasagna was very tasty, and my friends also ran over their dishes. I made it a point to save the restaurant in the address book of my phone; next time I'm in St. Catherine's.

Reminds me of my recent trip to to Italy. Authentic Italian cuisine. Small, cozy and priced right. Calamari was great! The two pasta dishes we had were full of flavour and cooked to perfection. When the owner is the chef you taste the difference! We...loved the attention to the little details. Will be back soon
