Chile & Agave - St. Catharines

There are several vegan options available at this restaurant. The portions are generous and all the dishes are delicious. The service is also very friendly and accommodating.

We come here so often and the staff is always so friendly and the food is always delicious and never disappoints!

We have been here for years and our family frequents this place. Atmosphere is always nice. People are friendly and service is great. Sadly the quality of food seems to be on a downward trend. I'm not sure if they have new staff/cooks, but the burrito meat was dry, the food wasn't as flavourful and they seem to have changed what comes with the meals. Salad only instead of salad, rice and beans. The chicken seems to be of a lesser quality. And the drinks weren't very good. I hope this was just an off day, because this is one of our favourite places. Quite disappointed though last time we were there.

OK...so we had our nieces visiting with us from Winnipeg. We did the whole Niagara Falls tourist routine and enjoyed it. We left and they wanted Mexican food so we checked out what was on the way back to Toronto and we found this place on line.We were pleasantly surprised! We ordered the nachos which were great...lots of melted cheese, guacamole, beans and jalapenos. The nachos order was pretty big and we filled up on that and the complimentary chips and dip.For our mains, we had the beef and chicken fajitas, a beef burrito and a cheese quesadilla. We were all very happy with our meals and they tasted great. The portions were very large and we ended up taking away most of our mains. The service was also excellent and we got there at the right time as the place got fairly busy after we arrived. Overall we were very happy with the food and the service and would definitely go back should we find our selves in St. Catherines again.

A friend and I visited Chile & Agave after trying their tacos at a wine event last fall. We were looking forward to these taco’s and hoping they were as good as we remembered. The restaurant itself didn’t have the greatest atmosphere we were looking for. Only four tables outside so we were unable to sit there. The service was good and the food came very fast. The nachos were delicious and so were our drinks! My friend had chicken fajita and she thought they were good. My tacos looked delicious but they were just average to me with a whole bunch of guacamole. The restaurant overall was average but nothing exceptional in my opinion. It wouldn’t hurt to try it out if you’re looking for some Mexican as I do believe it is one of few Mexican places in the area.
